The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer.
It is God who arms me with strength
and keeps my way secure.

Most of you know about the fall I had on July 2. Fell flat on my bottom and was in severe pain for several days. The worst pain I can remember ever having. My primary care physician retired in June so, after a couple of weeks of pain I finally went to Urgent Care (at the persuasion of others). Long story short, in less than two weeks I went to urgent care, had X-ray showing a compression fracture T12, had an MRI, visited with a neurosurgeon who was recommended by a doctor friend, had surgery, a CT scan, and another CT scan. Results of CT scans showed a mass on my left kidney & other testing recommended.
I’m now waiting for an appointment with a new primary care physician on September 4th to see what is next.
While waiting for the doctors appointment, my mind started to wander. Generally I am a pretty optimistic person and have faith that God will take care of things, but being the human I am, I jumped the gun and started Googling biopsy of kidney, cysts on kidney, kidney cancer, kidney surgery, etc., looking for answers from something other than resting in the trust of my loving God.
Isaiah 40:31 states,
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
That evening, after googling and feeling a little anxious, I picked up a book entitled Finding Strength by Bob Erny. After reading some of the book I knew I was not being faithful and waiting on God. I must wait for the Lord with hope and trust. I needed to find strength in God.
Psalm 46:1 & 10 tells us,
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
“Be still and know that I am God.”
From the song Forever….
Forever God is faithful
Forever God is strong
Forever God is with us
