Who We Are

Saint Paul’s is on a journey and we would love for you to join us as we follow Jesus on an amazing adventure. The ministers of the church are the congregation, led by two ordained clergy and eight members of the vestry. Bishop Bill Atwood of the Anglican Church of North America’s International Diocese oversees the church.

Our service is centered around the weekly celebration of the Eucharist, in the Anglican tradition. Music consists of traditional hymns and praise songs accompanied by organ and piano, led by a vocal ensemble.

The Rev. Chris Waters, Pastor

First of all, I am a follower of Jesus Christ. He has blessed me with my wife, Janey, four wonderful adult children, a granddaughter and grandson. I was ordained into the Anglican Communion in 1990, and have been the head pastor of the Anglican Church of Saint Paul since 2006. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, fishing, shooting, photography, playing guitar and being a computer geek.

The Rev. Mrs. Jean Wolfe, Deacon

Jean Wolfe attended Asbury College in Kentucky and graduated from Butler University in Indiana, where she was inducted into Mu Phi Epsilon, an international professional music fraternity and honor society, and the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi. She later pursued more music classes at Georgia State University in Atlanta and started on her masters in music theory before moving to Tulsa. In 2009 she was ordained as a deacon in the Anglican Communion.

The Rev. Jay Ide, Deacon

Deacon Jay is a graduate of Oral Roberts University. He also studied at Fuller Theological Seminary and University of California, Los Angeles, focusing on Near Eastern Languages and Cultures. After 33 years of software development, he and his wife Cheryl took up beekeeping and now operate an apiary supplying the Tulsa area with honey. Cheryl focuses on the indoor portion of the operation, bottling and labeling the honey. Jay does the outdoor work. Beyond that, Jay has worked for many years with the City Lights Foundation of Oklahoma, focusing on Night Light Tulsa, a ministry among unsheltered people in Downtown Tulsa. Jay and Cheryl have 6 children and 9 grandchildren.
